HC Schiedam gaat samenwerken met Hockey Association Malta

17 mei 2020 - Met groot enthousiasme kondigt HC Schiedam een meerjarige samenwerking aan met de hockeybond van Malta (HAM). HC Schiedam gaat de nationale bond van Malta adviseren en assisteren op organisatie- en hockeytechnisch gebied en is daarvoor een Twinning project gestart onder leiding van de European Hockey Federation (EHF) en de KNHB. In dit project zullen diverse vrijwilligers van HC Schiedam kennis maken met de HAM om te samen vastgestelde doelen te behalen.
Afgelopen dinsdag is het eerste overleg (videoconferentie) geweest waarbij 3 leden van de HAM een eerste ontmoeting hebben gehad met HC Schiedam. Namens HC Schiedam waren Paolo (Voorzitter Tophockey) en Theo (Bestuurslid Hockeyzaken) aanwezig en zijn de eerste plannen gemaakt voor een mooie samenwerking. Samen met HC Schiedam gaat de HAM proberen het aantal leden significant te laten groeien en ook het nationale niveau omhoog te brengen. Aangezien de huidige tijd vraagt om aanpassingen zullen fysieke ontmoetingen nog even uitblijven maar uiteindelijk is ook het doel om bij elkaar op bezoek te gaan.
Voor HC Schiedam ligt hier weer een mooie nieuwe stap om als vereniging haar steentje bij te dragen aan een groeiende hockeywereld en haar maatschappelijk belang te tonen. Los van de hulp die HC Schiedam aan Malta gaat leveren liggen er uiteraard ook mooie kansen voor o.a. teams uit Schiedam om te kijken naar uitwisselingsmogelijkheden.
Als HC Schiedam kijken we uit naar een mooi project en hopen wij met elkaar over ongeveer 1,5 jaar mooie doelen bereikt te hebben. Wij bedanken de HAM voor de keuze van HC Schiedam als partner en de KNHB en EHF voor de ondersteuning van dit project. Gedurende het project zullen wij vaker updates delen met jullie!

HC Schiedam starts cooperation with Hockey Association Malta
May 17, 2020 - With great enthusiasm, HC Schiedam announces a multi-year collaboration with the Hockey Association of Malta (HAM). HC Schiedam will advise and assist the national association of Malta on improving the level of hockey nationwide and how to organize this. Therefore HC Schiedam has started a Twinning project led by the European Hockey Federation (EHF) and the KNHB together with the HAM. In this project, several volunteers from HC Schiedam will get to know the HAM to achieve jointly determined goals.
Last Tuesday was the kick-off meeting (video conference) where 3 members of the HAM met with HC Schiedam. Paolo (Chairman Top Hockey) and Theo (Board Member Hockey) were the representatives of HC Schiedam and the first plans were discussed for a long-term collaboration.
Together with HC Schiedam, HAM will try to increase the number of members within Hockey Malta and also would like to increase the level of hockey in Malta. Due to the current challenging situation, as an effect of COVID19, physical meeting will not occur for a while, but ultimately the goal is also to visit each other in Schiedam and in Malta.
This is another great step for HC Schiedam to show their broader contribution to the sport of hockey and to demonstrate its social responsibility. Apart from the help that HC Schiedam will offer to Malta, there are of course also great opportunities for teams from Schiedam to look at exchange opportunities.
As HC Schiedam, we are looking forward to work together and hope to achieve, in joint effort, our goals in about 1.5 years. We thank the HAM for choosing HC Schiedam as a partner and the KNHB and EHF for this project. During the project, we will keep sharing updates.
